We should start with the things I like first. The main act of the film is actually not bad at all. It has beautiful musical numbers that sadly don't feature post that. It is also interesting and sweet and most importantly – it centers around a certain something: Snow's backstory. The film is shot in beautiful tones that create a radiating gleam close to nocturnal Paris. A Mermaid in Paris really dominates in its camerawork although a couple of camera shots were questionable like a fast arc went for a romantic dinner scene. 

What I meant by the film centers around one thing in the principal act is that it totally loses center all through the remainder of its runtime. The mishmash of Snow's somewhat genuine and almost melancholic story with the film's attempts at humor, the setting's legend, the romance, the side stories that range from an old forlorn maid to an innocent man dying – it really doesn't cooperate. They fill in as 1,000,000 distinct tones and temperaments that possibly create chaos when assembled. The decision of music (apart from the musical numbers) was regularly amazingly off-base for its corresponding scenes. It goes for a fairytale, classic Disney kind of mind-set yet winds up feeling like The Room. It was, in all sincerity, very messy.
