Obviously, it's Liam Neeson's Ottway as the dread contender who stands tall in this gathering of eight, uncommonly when he looks at the wolf directly in the eye... in the last shot. Not to say the others don't advance the absurdity, anxiety and dread just like the need of great importance (and content). 

However at that point, the genuine victor – shockingly – here are the bunch of wolves. Their moans, their yells, their barks, their whine, their shimmering eyes (the main part apparent in the dead, cool evening), and their definitive savage assaults are sufficient to make you shudder.
