Everything's ideal for 24-yr-vintage Tania (Esha Deol) -- an iconic teenager author with a perfect mother, dad and a boyfriend. Or so it appears... But 5 mins into the film and you comprehend there are a zillion questions teen creator Tania has for her writer while one quality day she unearths out her whereabouts: Who am I? What am I? Where are my real parents? Why did my gift father and mother undertake me? Do I actually have an identification? Will I ever stay respectfully? Is my life a waste?.... Naturally then, Tania sets out in search of her actual dad and mom, right from Pratapgarh to Turkey after which Goa. Of path, all this and greater, courtesy her foster mother and father (Farooq Sheikh and Deepti Naval), her boyfriend (Arjun Bajwa) and Johnny Lever (as the Municipal man).

But then locating daddy ain't any smooth undertaking in Bollywood. Especially while all you have is your personal clinic baby tag as a image of identification. Enter Daddy No.1 -- Maharaja Abhay Pratap (Vinod Khanna). All it takes for the lady at the hunt to comprehend he's not her biological dad is a camel race and a spiel on why must boys have all of the fun. Cut to Daddy No.2, Altaf Zardari (Rishi Kapoor), a a hit multi-millionaire in Turkey. This time treating his recluse wife is the value Tania will pay to realize she's on the incorrect song. Finally, it is Johnny Lever who does manipulate to tickle the humorous bone to a point, observed by Arjun Bajwa -- the latter no longer so much for standing out among the stalwarts but for putting up together with his girl in the shall we-find-my-daddy path...

Now why should Hema selected to re-make her first forgettable directorial task, Dil Aashna Hai with daughter Esha? Surely she deserves higher.
