It's a lovingly sarcastic bad dream that inquires as to why ghastliness is so strong: what dreadful human need is being taken care of by seeing alluring youngsters in conditions of semi-disrobe who are unexpectedly, fiercely butchered, as though they are being rebuffed for being youthful and attractive? For what reason does the class cling so near the conviction that youngsters in danger must be taken out singly, leaving that one person who had initially seemed, by all accounts, to be so powerless and unworldly, however in whom the circumstance has revealed extraordinary stores of courage and coarseness? Could there be some anthropological response to the ritualist conduct with sickening dread?
