The Gist: Wayward high schooler Will (Kevin Quinn) hasn't been dealt a great hand; since losing his parents, he's been in and out of 22 cultivate homes, attended seven schools in six years, and his illegal antics aren't really making a difference. After stealing a cop car, he's faced with an unnerving reality: the solitary place left for him to go is juvie. By some miracle, he's taken in by Kristin (Sherri Shepherd) and her child George (Jahbril Cook) with one condition – that he go through a week at the Christian day camp where Kristin works. He agrees, and off he goes to bunk with George at Camp Aweegaway.
Will, immediately stricken with Avery (Bailee Madison), the daughter of the camp's chief (David Koechner), before long enrolls George's assistance to conceal his not exactly ideal past – and vows to help George win the heart of his own squash, Presley (Kat Conner Sterling). Like at any great day camp, there's a major contest happening between three teams – the Azure Apostles, Crimson Angels, and Verdes Maximus – and the games are heating up thanks to serious players like Will, Avery, George, and our "villain", Sean (Iain Tucker), who is not exactly excited by Will's arrival. When reality with regards to Will comes out, will his new companions stand close by? Will he finally let down his walls and belt out a tune at the talent show? You'll have to take an outing to Camp Aweegaway to discover.
