What's harder than lying about your age? Hiding a spotless, shiny uncovered pate, obviously. Furthermore, if you're 40-something, single - not-prepared to-mingle, a struggling writer trying to display yourself on something among Ram and Raja Harishchandra – life ain't simple. That is Shubhendu Roy. His shocking adjust self image is flat mate Gagan (Ranvir Shorey), a struggling entertainer and compulsive liar, who can counterfeit anything (play on words intended) and believes in jhoot ki jeet. Adding brilliant drama, there's an unpleasant filmmaker, Nayan Sidhwani (Saurabh Shukla) who's to a greater degree a wear as opposed to a director, flanked by his vampish arm-candy(Lillete Dubey) and low maintenance waiter-low maintenance entertainer (Vijay Raaz), who heighten the mayhem.
With a bit of truth, a bit of lies, part parody, part-genuine, Saurabh Shukla spins this romcom with witty jokes, scarcely any hilarious scenes, great comic timing, a ton energy (sometimes excessive). However, the subsequent half loses spirit, with extended scenes, repetitive humor and summarizes with an anti-climax. Infact, we even can't help thinking about why the movie is called 'I M 24', truly?
As a 42-year old moonlighting as 24-year-old stud, Rajat Kapoor is amusing, however loses grip mid-way. Ranvir Shorey, with his caricaturish Kung-Fu moves, and hyper, high-pitched execution is the highlight. Neha Dhupia and Manjari Fadnis add glamor and giggles.
